Greenheck Introduces the Vari-Green Motor

May 12, 2009

Greenheck's new Vari-Green motor is a brushless DC (electronically commutated) high-efficiency motor that runs off a 115 volt single-phase input. The Vari-Green motor runs quieter, cooler and offers higher efficiencies with improved speed control capabilities as compared to standard motors. The Vari-Green motor is capable of operating from 20% to 100% (80% turndown) of full speed versus 70% to 100% (30% turndown) for PSC motors. The motor is available in ¼, ½ and ¾ HP sizes and offers three different control options: 0-10 VDC input wiring, a motor-mounted dial, or a wall- mounted dial. The Vari-Green motor can be ordered with select Greenheck direct-drive fan Models G, CUE, CW and SQ with more models to follow.
