Servo Magnetics Inc. - Canoga Park, CA; A new compact high-speed outer rotor brushless DC motor is now available. Inherent in its design, the mass of the outside rotor provides higher inertia making it well suited for polygon scanners and blowers requiring stable speed. Additionally, the rotor cup is 2-plane balanced which provides exceptionally low acoustical noise and vibration even at high speeds. The motor has been optimized for low cogging torque and delivers high torque relative to its size. This compact 1.5" by 1.2" design can produce over 3 oz-in continuous torque and is capable of speeds greater than 20,000 rpm. Its low-profile design provides a space-efficient, direct coupling interface in many applications.
