Brushless Blowers have adjustable output.

Press Release Summary:

Variable speed, premix gas blowers for commercial furnaces and boilers, gas-fired food service equipment, water heaters, and kilns eliminate need for complex air intake damper systems. Burner blowers serve needs of several different burners and are available with both 120 and 240 Vac input. Units are 1/3 size of low-speed AC blowers, have variable speed control, and AC input. Digital signal processors, DC input, and pressure taps are available.

Ametek Rotron Introduces Line of Brushless DC Premix Gas Blowers

Lightweight, Variable Speed Blowers for a Wide Range of Burner Systems

KENT, OH - AMETEK Rotron Technical and Industrial Products has introduced a new line of brushless blowers to meet the demand for variable speed, premix gas burner blowers in commercial furnaces and boilers, gas-fired food service equipment, water
heaters, kilns, industrial burners and fuel cells.

"With the emphasis on greater combustion efficiency and lowering NOx and CO emissions, designers of gas-fired systems increasingly are considering the use of variable speed premix blowers," notes Dave Harvanek, Director of Business Development for AMETEK Rotron.

"Previously the only options available were fixed speed or two-speed blowers, intake damper systems on fixed speed blowers, or inverter-driven variable speed blowers. When used in conjunction with a modulating gas valve, AMETEK Rotron's lightweight, high-speed blowers now provide designers with an almost limitless range of design options," adds Mr. Harvanek.

The product line, consisting of eight models, from AMETEK Rotron offers the following features:

oCompact size-Rotron's brushless blowers are typically one-third the size of many low-speed AC blowers.

oVariable speed control-Two options are available: a) an internally adjusted speed control with onboard potentiometer and b) an external DC control that actively varies blower performance.

oAC input-Although the motor blowers are brushless DC, their input is AC. Internal electronics convert the AC to DC.

oReduced inventory and design time-One blower model can used to serve the needs of several different size and/or design burners by simply by adjusting blower performance output.

oDependability-Brushless DC blowers are rugged, reliable, long life and nearly maintenance free.

oOptions-Among the design options available are onboard digital signal processors, unique flange configurations, DC input, and pressure taps.

AMETEK Rotron's premix burner blowers are available in both 120VAC and 240VAC models. Also available are two different output flanges that cover most burner designs. The adjustable performance of the blowers permits the elimination of complex air intake damper systems.
