Original Press Release:

Mae® Series 500 Brush DC Servomotors Optimized for Precision and Speed

New MAE® brand Series 500 brush-commutated DC servomotors offer precision and speed for power applications in a wide range of industries, including data storage, medical/biotech, semiconductor processing, and automation, among others. Their design features and construction deliver smooth-running performance and promote extended service life.

MAE Series 500 brush DC servomotors are available in two lengths and can achieve speeds up to 5400 rpm and continuous torque up to 57 oz-in, depending on model. Speed, voltage, current, and torque characteristics can be tailored to meet exact application requirements.

Standard features for these new brush DC servomotors include 11-slot armatures to minimize magnetic cogging (or reluctance torque) and enable quiet and smooth operation; ball bearings; and two-pole stators. Rugged construction (IMB5 according to IEC 34-7) and balancing class N (DIN 45665) serve to enhance their reliability over time.

MAE Series 500 brush DC servomotors can further be customized with encoders to provide position and direction feedback needs, tachogenerators, and gearboxes, among other component options.

All MAE motor products are manufactured in accordance with industry-leading quality control standards and processes.
