Verizon Wireless Launches V CAST Mobile TV in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 11 -- Wait times at the airport, doctors' offices and restaurants just got a little bit more interesting for Verizon Wireless customers in Syracuse. Verizon Wireless has expanded its V CAST Mobile TV service into Syracuse -- the first deployment of the service in Upstate New York -- giving local residents the ability to watch broadcast-quality television on select mobile TV-enabled handsets.
V CAST Mobile TV features live content and other programming 24 hours a day from well-known entertainment brands including CBS Mobile, Comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, Fox Mobile, MTV, NBC 2GO, NBC News2GO, and Nickelodeon. Customers can watch their favorite network TV shows, sports and breaking news when they're taking a break from Christmas shopping, waiting at the airport, killing time between classes, or otherwise looking for time to fill in locations in and around Greater Syracuse.

Monthly access packages range from $13 to $25 per month. Four V CAST Mobile TV-enabled phones are currently available: the all new Voyager(TM) by LG ($299.99), LG VX9400 ($149.99), the MOTORIZR(TM) Z6tv ($179.99), and the Samsung SCH-u620 ($99.99).
