Brady Corporation Asia Pte Ltd Receives North American Security Products Organization Certification
First location in Asia to achieve this security standard
MILWAUKEE, WI (October 9, 2006) - Brady Corporation's (NYSE:BRC), plant in Singapore, Brady Corporation Asia Pte Ltd., has been certified by the North American Security Products Organization (NASPO) for successfully completing a comprehensive Security Risk Management Audit. NASPO is a non-profit standards organization formed by security product users and technology suppliers to prevent the easy reproduction of their products. Brady Singapore has now joined Brady U.S. as being certified by NASPO to be in compliance with best practices in risk reduction infrastructure, systems, and techniques that assure security.
Brady Corporation Asia Pte Ltd. is the first of any company outside of North America to receive NASPO certification. "With the new NASPO Asian certification, it makes our company a more global Brand Protection business, focusing on delivering the best security solutions locally, wherever they are needed," says David Lee, Brady's business development manager for Asia.
NASPO is headquartered in North America, but is looking to expand its certification of secure facilities throughout the global supply chain. To obtain NASPO accreditation, products used for authenticating and protecting brand name goods must be developed, produced, and stored in a highly secure environment. The facility, personnel, and processes are all scrutinized to ensure NASPO's high standards are being met.
The North American Security Products Organization is a non-profit member-supported organization that certifies that providers of security documents, labels, cards, packaging, materials, and technology operate under an agreed-upon set of operational standards and security protocols.
