Strainers Provide Coarse Level Filtration without Pressure Drop

A new range of BOSS MOUNT STRAINERS which provide effective, coarse level filtration in a compact, low profile, yet robust design have recently been added to the line of safety screens available from miniature component specialists LEE PRODUCTS. These boss mount strainers are ideal for lubrication systems or for applications such as large fuel pumps in air-to-air refuelling systems which need a coarse inlet screen to filter out unwanted containments and debris, without the risk of pressure drop.

Manufactured from 304L stainless steel they are available in 6 different thread sizes ranging from 0.750” to 1.875” ensure optimum design flexibility. They feature a corrugated screen design which ensures a maximum open area for increased debris holding capacity and a single piece element that can withstand differential pressures up to 500 psid without rupture.

With an integral tool slot these strainers can be easily installed and removed for inspection. In addition, standard screen hole sizes include 0.038” and 0.062” making them ideal for lubrication systems, such as inlet screens for gearbox lubrication pumps or any type of system requiring effective and reliable coarse filtration.
