Mount Prospect, Ill., October 9, 2006 - Renowned worldwide for innovative linear edge saw blade technology, Bosch Power Tools and Accessories is pleased to announce the addition of a new Hacksaw Blade line complete with Frame and a new Portable Band Saw Blade line. With a complete jig saw, reciprocating saw, hole saw and now, hacksaw and portable band saw blade offering, Bosch can truly serve as a one-stop shop for electricians, plumbers, general contractors and more looking to purchase linear edge blades.

Bosch offers three new 10 and 12-inch Hacksaw Blades. All are color-coded and labeled with their specified application for quick and easy identification on the shelf and in the toolbox.

· Bi-metal Flexible for Metal blades are ideal for cutting pipe, solid metals, wood, plastic and machineable metal. A patented pressure rule manufacturing process adheres high-speed steel strips to the blade body to produce long lasting and fast cutting blades. Precision ground 18, 24 and 32 teeth per inch (TPI) configurations reduce blade fractures and breakage, while the flexible blade body prevents shattering. Blades are available in 10 or 100 pack quantities and color-coded blue for metal applications.

· Professionals will use high carbon steel Metal blades for cutting mild steel, copper, brass, aluminum and other similar materials. The complete carbon steel body construction offers a hardened cutting edge and flexible back to avoid breakage. The metal blades are also color-coded blue, available in 18, 24, and 32 TPI configurations, and 10 or 100 packs.

· Specialty Carbide Grit for Abrasive Materials blades feature a uniform application of carbide grit for consistent clean cuts in ceramics, fiberglass, asbestos, glass resins and other abrasive materials. Each body is made of durable steel to extend blade life in professional environments. Both 10 and 12-inch long blades are color-coded black for "specialty" applications and come in packs of three.

The new high-tension 12-inch Bosch Hacksaw Frame offers a 4-3/4-inch throat depth for tackling wider diameter pipe and 45 and 90-degree cutting capabilities. A tension lever located above the handle makes blade changes quick and easy. The heavy-duty frame features a comfortable rubber ergonomic hand grip at the back and a thumb-grip at the front for two-handed operations. The Bosch Hacksaw Frame is available for purchase with one 18 TPI bi-metal Flexible for Metal blade, or sold separately.

The new selection of Bosch Portable Band Saw Blades are bi-metal for wood, plastic and common metals designed to fit most portable band saws. Ten, 14, 18 and 24 TPI configurations offer varying levels of cut aggressiveness, from rough to fine, respectively. Each blade is available in three packs.

All Bosch blades, bits and abrasives are available wherever fine power tools and accessories are sold.
