Boogie Board(TM) LCD Writing Tablet Now Available in Six New Colors, More Enhancements to Come in 2011
KENT, Ohio, Jan. 6, 2011 - Kent Displays announced today it is introducing six new colors for its popular Boogie Board Paperless LCD Writing Tablet. New colors include red, green, yellow, white, pink and cyan. Kent Displays subsidiary Improv Electronics launched the original all-black Boogie Board tablet in January 2010. It is the first paperless writing tablet to utilize a pressure-sensitive, Reflex(TM) No Power LCD from Kent Displays for its writing surface.
The six new Boogie Board tablet colors are available now for $41.95 USD each from Improv Electronics at www.myboogieboard.com and www.amazon.com, as well as from select authorized resellers globally.
The new colors are the first of several Boogie Board tablet enhancements and additions that will be launched in 2011. These include other form factors and features such as image capture. "The original Boogie Board tablet was a tremendous success in 2010, with unit sales exceeding our forecast by 10 times," said Albert Green, Kent Displays CEO. "Based on this success, we have already launched numerous accessories. The new colors are the next step in creating a comprehensive family of Boogie Board tablets and accessories. We have received a great deal of market feedback about preferred enhancements, and we are very excited about launching several of them in 2011."
In 2011, Improv Electronics also plans to expand its European channel for Boogie Board tablets and launch a non-tablet, aftermarket consumer product that features a Reflex LCD. The new product will utilize a Reflex LCD Electronic Skin for decorative purposes.
