Leading Northeast furniture retailer improves supply chain productivity and visibility

Milwaukee, WI - RedPrairie Corporation, a leading consumer driven optimization company, announced today that Bob's Discount Furniture has implemented RedPrairie's Warehouse Management (WMS) in its Taftville, CT distribution center. Bob's, the fastest growing furniture retailer in the Northeast, has gained visibility into inventory and achieved improvements in labor productivity and throughput since going live with the RedPrairie solution in November, 2007.

Bob's 900,000-square-foot distribution center supports 30 stores across the Northeast. The facility ships direct to stores, to drop-off points for home delivery and to third-party cross-dock facilities. Productivity gains have been made through improved picking and putaway processes in combination with less manual activity.
