BMK Electronic Solutions GmbH and Luminary Micro Announce Design Services Availability for Stellaris® Microcontrollers

AUGSBURG, Germany and AUSTIN, Texas, February 25

Premier German Design House Prefers Stellaris Cortex-M3 Microcontrollers for Customers' Benefit

BMK electronic solutions GmbH and Luminary Micro are pleased to announce a partnering of the two companies to provide customers with BMK electronic solutions' state of the art design capability based around Luminary Micro's Stellaris ARM® Cortex(TM)-M3-based microcontrollers.

Previously, in designing OEM solutions using ARM-based microcontrollers, BMK electronic solutions benefited from the faster time to market resulting from reusing software across compatible microcontrollers. Earlier this year, BMK electronic solutions decided to bring additional design efficiency to BMK's customers by embarking on a search for an ARM-based microcontroller vendor to utilize for the majority of their OEM designs. With the largest selection of ARM-based microcontrollers in the world, Luminary Micro's Stellaris family of microcontrollers was the perfect fit for BMK. Mr Soukup, Product Development Manager at BMK, said "We chose Luminary Micro because of the breadth of their groundbreaking Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller family. With these controllers we can cover a broad spectrum of applications ranging from industrial control, monitoring systems, measurement instrumentation and motor control. Our customers benefit from an incredible time to market advantage."

BMK electronics solutions will be joining Luminary Micro's Design House Program, bringing BMK and their customers early access advantages to Luminary Micro's newest technologies.

"We are pleased to be working closely with BMK, who are one of Germany's leading electronic, engineering, and manufacturing services providers. We see many parallels between the two companies, as both companies are fast-growing and the recipient of multiple awards," said Ian Fletcher, Luminary Micro EMEA Sales Manager. "In addition, we see strong synergy between the two companies, as the companies share an industrial market footprint."

BMK will be showing Luminary Micro-based solutions in their stand at Embedded World 2008 in Nuremberg (Hall 9 Stand 232).
