BARCELONA, Spain, February 11 -

o Bluestreak to Offer an Open Environment for Operators and Content Providers for Easy Development on Closed OS Phones

Bluestreak Technology, the developer of the MachBlue(TM) platform for mobile phones and digital television, today announced the latest addition to its MachBlue Mobile suite - a series of rich-media applications that can be integrated directly with Flash authoring tools to create dynamic user interfaces and content for mobile phones.

Developed in conjunction with the world's leading technology companies, the rich media application helps operators to create and deliver dynamic content such as mobile TV, video on demand or music videos.

Bluestreak CEO, Paul Forostowsky, commented: "The mobile world got a wake up call this year, with the launch of the iPhone. The handset has a stunning user interface and is made for displaying dynamic, great looking content. By using Bluestreak's technology handset manufacturers, operators and content providers can really step up to the mark -to create visually engaging content and user interfaces."

Based on a web based environment, manufactures can develop user ready applications that can run on a number of platforms including Symbian Series 60, Symbian UIQ, Windows Mobile 2006, Linux, Brew and J2ME. MachBlue's cross-platform capabilities bridge the gap between different makes and models of handsets, making it possible for wireless operators and handset OEMs to create a customized, branded user experience that is uniform across all devices.

MachBlue Mobile allows the creation of Mobile TV electronic program guides with transparent video overlay and dynamic updating, total MMI rebranding, sophisticated video and music applications and live TV and event broadcasting using complimentary DVB-H, 3G, and VOD technologies.

Bluestreak's rich media applications are heralded within the industry as being the most efficient applications around, highlighted by the fact Orange needed only three weeks to create the Orange World TV application. Working with Orange, Bluestreak is creating a flagship application for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, allowing users to access a variety of live broadcasting, information, news and results from the Games as they are underway.

This announcement reaffirms Bluestreak as the leader in bringing rich-media content and services to mobile phones, having signed a series of significant partnership and customer deals over the past number of years with the likes of Orange, KPN and T-Mobile to name but a few.

Bluestreak CEO Paul Forostowsky added; "This announcement heralds the next step in Bluestreak's incredible success story. We've seen a number of operators and handset manufacturers embrace MachBlue technology, and expect to see more over the coming years."

Bluestreak's rich media applications are only one part of the hugely successful Bluestreak Technology business. As well as running Mobile TV applications through the MachBlue Mobile player, Bluestreak has also long established its MachBlue TV it's application for set-top box's, operating with the likes of TimeWarner cable, Open TV and Videotron.
