Decryptx™ provides the security and PCI scope reduction of PCI-validated P2PE to Phoenix Managed Networks™ clients with no change to current processing relationships
ATLANTA and RESTON, Va., – Bluefin Payment Systems, the leading provider of secure payment technology for enterprises, financial institutions, and small-to-medium-sized businesses, and Phoenix Managed Networks™, a global provider of payments communications, gateway and merchant security services for financial institutions and retailers worldwide, have announced a partnership to provide Bluefin's Decryptx™ PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) Solution to Phoenix Managed Networks™ clients.
PCI-validated P2PE secures card transactions by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry swipe or keypad device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant's system where it could be exposed to malware. Bluefin became the first North American PCI-validated P2PE solution provider in March 2014 and in November, the company introduced Decryptx, their Decryption as a Service (DaaS) P2PE product. Decryptx provides all of the security of Bluefin's PCI-validated P2PE solution suite with no change to the merchant's processing or acquiring relationship.
"2013 and 2014 brought some of the highest profile data breaches that the U.S. has ever seen," stated John M. Perry, CEO of Bluefin. "We firmly believe that credit card data must be devalued within the merchant system to stem the growing fraud and illicit use of card information. We are excited to partner with Phoenix Managed Networks™ to provide our stand-alone Decryptx PCI P2PE solution to their clients, which will prevent cardholder data from being in the clear in the point of sale, while also reducing PCI scope - all with no change to their current processing relationship."
Phoenix Managed Networks™ is internationally focused on electronic payments and merchant security, providing acquirers, payment processors, banks and retailers worldwide with highly reliable and cost-effective data communications and security services for transaction-oriented applications.
"As a payment technology provider to financial institutions and retailers worldwide, we understand the importance of securing our client's data and providing reliable, cost-effective payment security services, protecting their networks and their brands," said Greg Anderson, Senior Vice President, Phoenix Managed Networks™. "PCI-validated P2PE is the highest standard in card data security and Decryptx is a key tool in ensuring that our clients' systems are secure."
Through the partnership, organizations utilizing Phoenix Managed Networks' services will have access to PCI-validated P2PE. Bluefin will provide the devices, key injection, shipping and chain of custody for clients. Both Bluefin and Phoenix Managed Networks™ are exhibiting at this year's ETA Transact 2015. Visit Bluefin at booth #1818 and Phoenix Managed Networks™ at booth #1900A.
