Bloomington Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff's Office Choose NC4 Street Smart(TM) to Help Fight Crime

New customer marks latest step in the expansion of NC4 Street Smart

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — NC4, the leader in Situational Readiness solutions and an innovator in public safety and emergency management solutions, is excited to announce that the Bloomington, IN Police Department (BPD) and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) have chosen NC4 Street Smart™ to help fight crime within their jurisdiction. When deployed later this year, NC4 Street Smart will give the BPD and the MCSO a crime-fighting application that will arm their police officers with critical, real-time crime data as they patrol the streets of Bloomington and Monroe County. This solution allows the departments to stay apprised of activities and to collaborate using situation-based bulletins, secure blogs and case management tools that optimizes the sharing of crime-related information. NC4's Crime Connector continually crawls the data and immediately returns matching results, connecting related historical data.

Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff said that creating situational awareness will be one of the most important benefits of the new system and software. "The software will be a huge benefit to our Officers in the field by not only increasing their awareness but also helping them to connect the dots faster. Criminals won't have anywhere to hide in Bloomington."

NC4 Street Smart takes advantage of successful policing practices combined with proven technology to provide an easy-to-use analysis platform. The solution allows Bloomington area law enforcement officials to rapidly share information and to analyze data as needed to solve crimes faster. What used to be handled in roll calls or on notepads now lives in a solution that is available around-the-clock to all officers and gives them information in near real-time, at their fingertips.

"We are thrilled to support the Bloomington Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office as they set a new standard in crime-fighting by providing their commanders and field personnel with an application that will allow them to access real-time data to pinpoint crimes, patterns and incidents through the purchase of NC4 Street Smart," says Rob Wolf, Vice President, Public Safety. "We're looking forward to working with them in the coming months to deploy a system that exceeds their needs."

NC4 will be showcasing NC4 Street Smart at the 2013 IACP Conference in Philadelphia in October. Join us at an after-party event following the Host Chief's Night and hear from Chief Diekhoff and other agencies firsthand.
