Blanket Heaters utilize high R-value foam insulation.

Press Release Summary:

Combining foam insulation with silicone rubber heaters, High-R Value Silicone Foam Blanket Heaters are designed for thermal applications requiring insulation to cut heat loss that sub-optimizes heater performance. Insulation also provides touch-safe protection in work environment. Designed to fit contours of components, molded homogenous assemblies deliver maximum thermal transfer and temperature uniformity. They can include temperature sensors, thermostat, and other components.

Newly Developed High-R Value Silicone Foam Blanket Heaters

Cary, IL – Durex Industries, a leading North American designer and manufacturer of heaters, temperature sensors, controls and systems, recently announced development of their High-R Value Silicone Foam Blanket Heaters. This heater technology was designed for thermal applications requiring insulation to reduce costly heat loss that sub-optimizes the heaters performance. The high-R value insulation is also used to provide touch safe protection in the work environment.

Durex Industries developed processes for manufacturing high-R value silicone foam insulation and married the foam insulation with silicone rubber heaters. The foam insulation and heater are molded into a homogeneous assembly that may include temperature sensors, thermo-stat, thermo-fuses and other components. By molding the assembly, Durex Industries can mold the heater assembly to fit the contours of components and provide the maximum thermal transfer and temperature uniformity.
