ISC Engineering Offers New Multi-Application Boots for Molex® KK Series
ISC Engineering is an industry leader in bringing new and cutting edge products to market. One of the newest offerings are multi-application boots. A boot is a discrete injection molded part which is designed to slide over power and signal connectors such as Molex® microfits and minifits. Boots are a cost effective solution to improve the aesthetics and durability of these types of connectors.
The multi-application boots that ISC has developed allow the end user to use the boot on cable or wire bundles with various outer diameters (OD’s). This new design allows the customer complete flexibility as before the boot was molded with a singular pin size which made the boot mono-functional for that OD. The new boot design gives the customer flexibility to purchase a single product and use it in multiple assemblies with multiple cable diameters. This ultimately gives the customer an even more cost effective solution and reduces the lead time of having a custom boot made.
These new multi-functional boots are typically molded in black PVC but can also be made in various molding compounds, colors and even with logos. The versatility to use this boot on multiple assemblies as well as having it customizable makes this a very unique offering. ISC is offering the multi-functional boots at various price points to make it a cost effective solution.
