Presenting ammonia industrial refrigeration packages at the IARW-WFLO Show in Hollywood, FL
Flowery Branch [GA]- BITZER US, Inc. will promote its new line of Ammonia Refrigeration Packages at the IARW-WFLO Show in Hollywood, Florida, the week of May 5th.
BITZER has marketed its line of Open-Drive Reciprocating and Screw Compressors for ammonia applications for years, but now the company is assembling Ammonia Packages ranging from simple motor-compressor combinations on rails up to complete Rotary Screw Compressor Packages. Art Mathews, BITZER's Business Development Manager for Industrial Products, states that BITZER is filling a void in the marketplace for small ammonia systems. "Historically, ammonia compressors have been large CFH models like those found in refrigerated warehouses," he adds, "but the trend now is to reduce the ammonia charge in systems and provide multiple, self-contained systems to handle the loads."
BITZER US recently moved its semi-hermetic Reciprocating Compressor production into a new manufacturing plant on the Oakwood, GA complex beside its former plant, where the company will now build its ASME certified Pressure Vessels and Ammonia Refrigeration Packages. This complex is located near Lanier Technical College, a leading US training center for Ammonia Refrigeration technicians.
