The Baker Company Introduces New, Ergonomically Enhanced, Total Exhaust Biological Safety Cabinet
SANFORD, Maine - The Baker Company has introduced a new ergonomically enhanced biological safety cabinet designed for Class II, Type B2 installations where total-exhaust is required.
Marketed as the SterilchemGARD® III Advance°, the new cabinet avoids air re-circulation and generates 100% exhaust to protect personnel from particulates, gases and vapors. It is especially useful in toxicology, microbiology and pharmacology applications where clean air is essential and small amounts of gases, vapors or chemical effluents are generated.
Available in either 4 foot or 6 foot models, the cabinet combines a unique, adaptive ergonomic design, total exhaust airflow management and proven containment technology to improve comfort, increase productivity and reduce the cost of ownership.
Comfort, Added Working Space For Equipment and Personnel
o The slanted viewscreen is sloped 10°, reducing glare and creating the most natural head and elbow position when working.
o The sloped cabinet front, along with a streamlined front intake grille also brings the work closer to the user, minimizing the arm extension required to reach the work surface.
o The cabinet controls are set at eye level, making them easy to see and reach.
o The straight back wall creates the largest unobstructed, usable work area in a 4' or 6' cabinet in the industry.

o The work surface and supports are completely removable for easy access to the drain pan to simplify cleaning.
