BioGenex's Xmatrx(TM) System Provides Significant Advantage for Research

SAN RAMON, Calif., Nov. 15 / -- BioGenex Laboratories, Inc., the inventor of Microwave Antigen Retrieval and pioneer of integrated and industrial-scale, high throughput walkaway automation of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing, announced today that reviews of its Xmatrx(TM) Automated Staining System are very encouraging.

According to Dr. Jeffrey S. Ross, Chairman of the Department of Pathology at Albany Medical Center and Medical Director of BioGenex, "The Xmatrx(TM) System has performed hundreds of high quality immunohistochemistry procedures in our laboratory. We have found its unique design to be a significant advantage for research applications. The Estrogen Receptor and HER-2/neu detections have been of extremely high quality with strong signal strength, accurate sub-cellular localization and absent background staining."

"We are quite pleased at the feedback we are receiving from the early adopters of the Xmatrx(TM) System," said Krishan L. Kalra, CEO and Chairman of BioGenex. "It all but confirms what we have believed about the Xmatrx(TM) System -- that it will change the way people do IHC in the future."

Currently in limited release, the Xmatrx(TM) System will be available in early 2006.
