Binary Tree Announces New Versions of the CMT Inspector and CMT for SharePoint Software with Support for the New Application Transformation Framework

NEWARK, N.J. - Binary Tree, a leading provider of software solutions for migrating to Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, announced today new versions of its CMT Inspector and CMT for SharePoint software to better support and integrate into its new Application Transformation Framework (ATF). Together, these two products support the analysis and migration of standard applications from Lotus Notes to Microsoft SharePoint as well as the rationalization and transformation of complex applications between the platforms.

CMT Inspector 4.0, which in prior versions was a Lotus Notes client application, is now a Windows based application architected for the Application Transformation Framework. CMT Inspector orchestrates the key inspection processes needed to reduce risk and enable decision-making when transitioning applications and email to the Microsoft platform. CMT Inspector 4.0 now features report packs for the application inspection jump-start and the rationalization analysis phases of the Application Transformation Framework as well as a report pack for mail inspections. In addition, the rationalization analysis report pack also enables CMT Inspector to export code from Lotus Notes applications to assist in application redevelopment efforts.

CMT for SharePoint 2.6 supports the migration of standard and complex applications from Lotus Notes to Microsoft 2007 and 2010. The new features in CMT for SharePoint 2.6 include support for migrating Notes application document links, for migrating Notes document metadata to the new "document sets" feature in SharePoint 2010 that helps users organize multi-document worksets, and the ability to transform Notes Document database HTML rich text document records to standard HTML documents or to Microsoft Word 2010/2007 documents in SharePoint.

In addition to the new versions of CMT Inspector and CMT for SharePoint, Binary Tree's Application Transformation Framework also includes the Domino Consolidator software, which was recently renamed from CMT for Domains. Domino Consolidator helps organizations to consolidate and retire their legacy Lotus Notes application servers to reduce or eliminate the costs of ownership of their legacy environment.
