Parker Offers Bidirectional Flow, Non Elastomeric Valve for Inkjet Printing Applications

Hollis, NH, May 13, 2009 - The Precision Fluidics Division of Parker Hannifin announces the release of NEX, a new bidirectional flow, non elastomeric valve, ideal for applications such as inkjet printing.

The NEX valve provides up to 250 ml/min of flow through a 0.030 inch orifice with pressure up to 30 psi. It is available in 3 configurations: 2/3-way normally closed, normally open or 3-way distributor. The valve provides a fast response time of less than 20 msec (full cycle) with minimal power consumption as low as 0.5 watts.

"We designed the NEX valve to eliminate outgassing and swelling commonly encountered in liquid applications," says Dan Bantz, Division Product Manager at Precision Fluidics Division. "This unique non elastomeric design eliminates compatibility issues typically found when valves are used with alcohols, solvents, water and solvent-based inks".

The NEX valve can be used as a stand alone valve with tube connections or in multi-station manifold mount applications.
