New Raymond Reach Truck Optimizes Productivity, Efficiency

Exclusive ACR System(TM) Combines AC Technology, Ergonomics

GREENE, N.Y.- Customers asked for unparalleled performance, reliability and comfort in a bi-directional reach truck, so The Raymond Corporation designed the Model 7400 Reach-Fork® truck. The Model 7400 features Raymond's exclusive, proven ACR System(TM) - a combination of AC technology and ergonomics that reduces costs, improves efficiency and increases operator productivity more than ever.

The Model 7400 is available in a variety of weight capacities, from 3,200 lb. to 4,500 lb., in reach and Deep-Reach® configurations.

"AC technology efficiently and reliably maximizes load cycles-per-hour," says John Colborn, reach truck marketing director at The Raymond Corporation. "Compared to DC motors, AC provides quicker acceleration; smoother direction changes; quiet and precise traction and lift; more runtime per battery charge; and less reduction in truck performance as the battery discharges. Plus, AC motors have fewer component parts to service and replace, which reduces maintenance costs and downtime."

The Model 7400's ergonomic design features:

o Universal Stance for more efficient, true bi-directional travel

o Secondary control handle for added convenience and comfort during tractor-first travel

o Logical, intuitive controls laid out in a comfortable configuration

o A roomy compartment to accommodate multiple working positions

o Contoured padding for weight relief and comfort

o A low step height to avoid unnecessary climbing

o A spring suspension and patented inertial dampener to reduce shocks and sways in the operator's compartment

An innovative open view mast design, found exclusively in the Model 7400, gives the operator a clear view of the base legs, load and rack for more efficient operation. Raymond's patented A-frame suspension features a unique, stability-enhancing steered idler wheel that eliminates caster snap to prevent jarring of the truck, the load and the operator.

A new display panel provides real-time data (such as time, battery charge and weight on forks) on a large screen, and allows for enhanced programmability of the truck's performance.

To keep operators comfortable in cold conditions, the Model 7400 has an optional ThermaKit(TM) system with a heated control handle and heated floor cushion.
