Bi-Directional Flow Transmitter delivers total indication.

Press Release Summary:

Model 286 offers 2-phase, quadrature output that can be used to monitor flow direction. In combination with Model 121 MPU-based indicator, any of Max Machinery's 11 sizes of flow meters can create bi-directional flow metering systems. High-resolution output, with up to 1,000 ppr, combines with Max flow meters ability to operate below 1 rpm, enabling near zero flow measurement and zero crossing without cross over valves or dual meters.

Bi-Directional Flow and Total Indication

System optimized for near zero and zero crossing flow measurement.

The Max Machinery, Model 286 frequency transmitter offers a 2 phase, quadrature output which can be used to monitor flow direction. In combination with the Model 121, microprocessor based indicator, any of Max's 11 sizes of flow meters can create bi-directional flow metering systems for cylinder testing, bi-directional liquid transfer and brake system testing.

The key to bidirectional measurement lies in the Model 286 transmitter's high resolution output (up to 1000 pulses per revolution) and the ability of the Max flow meters to operate well below 1 RPM. These capabilities make it possible to do "near zero" flow measurement and accurate zero crossing without cross over valves or dual meters.
