Here's an inexpensive solution to keeping samples at a cool temperature while sitting on the benchtop. This two piece rack is designed for long life and heavy usage.
The NEW Scienceware® Microcentrifuge Tube Ice Rack has a large capacity of up to fifty 1.5 ml tubes (or other tubes with a diameter of less than 12 mm). The unique design incorporates a deep tray to hold more ice and water and extend use time.
The racks have a flat perimeter rim which provides space for labeling tape and they are stackable with identical racks when loaded or empty. All parts are molded of sturdy polypropylene and are steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F).
An optional polypropylene cover is available to further protect the tubes during transport or storage. The dimensions of the rack is 254 X 133 X 73 mm high (9-1/8" X 5-1/4" X 2-7/8").
