Belkin Universal Secure KVM Switch Earns NIAP Common Criteria Certification

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Belkin International today announced that its Universal Secure KVM switches have received National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Protection Profile PSS 3.0 certification. This certification validates that Belkin Secure KVM Switching solutions meet the stringent testing and technical requirements for security mandated by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) along with 25 other governments worldwide.

The Universal Secure KVM family of switches have been evaluated at an accredited testing laboratory using Common Methodology for Information Technology Security Evaluation, Version 3.1 Revision 4, for conformance to the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation Parts 1, 2, and 3, Version 3.1, Revision 4 and for Protection Profile for Peripheral Sharing Switch Version 3.0.

The Belkin Universal Secure KVM is a first-of-its-kind switch that delivers up to 4K resolution/60Hz video refresh performance with the ability to mix and match video signals from DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort sources, without the need for active video converters. Now, government agencies and commercial enterprises looking to deploy secure KVMs into mission-critical systems can use the same secure KVMs between disparate systems and monitors without worrying about the video interface on each computer and monitor. This creates a uniform deployment footprint that makes management and operation more efficient.

"The Belkin Universal Secure KVM makes it easy to maintain air-gap network segmentation while allowing operators to more efficiently carry out mission-critical functions," said Craig Dahlman, global product manager for the Belkin KVM product line. "By achieving a NIAP listing, government and military users can be assured that the Belkin Universal Secure KVM has been independently verified to be highly secure, along with the convenience, control, universal video input compatibility, and video performance that our switches are known for."

The Belkin Universal Secure KVM switches are built and supported in the USA and come in tear-away packaging with an always-on active anti-tamper mechanism to ensure secure delivery from the factory to the user's facility.
