Clausing Introduces New Atlas Large Capacity CNC Bed Mills


Clausing Industrial, Inc. has introduced two new Atlas large Capacity CNC Bed Mills offering a wide range of standard features, including extra heavy-duty construction, at an affordable price. The machines feature full three-axis CNC control (in G code only) with 4th axis DRO, a 5 hp spindle drive motor, two infinitely variable speed ranges, powerful DC servo motor assemblies, 10" flat panel color LCD display, large internal part program storage capacity and a RS-232 port for downloading from an offline source.

The Altas CNC Bed Mills, available with either a 10" x 54" table or 12" x 60" table, feature extra heavy-duty engineering throughout, including hardened and ground spindle taper, hardened and chromed quill, CP4 ABEC7 angular contact spindle bearings, C7 double nut X/Y/Z axis ballscrews, hardened and ground table surface, ground table "T" slots, Turcite B coating on saddle X/Y axis ways, telescopic Z axis ballscrew covers, Z axis accordion way covers, and much more.

The ACU-RITE® control provides menu-prompted, conversational programming, immediate part view graphic and tool offset compensation. Functions include hard key milling, select routine, bolt hole calculations, full and partial circles, linear row/column/rectangle, mirror/repeat/rotate, custom pocket, skew, contour with approach and departure option, ellipse pocket/frame, chamfer, spiral and more.
