Beaver Aerospace & Defense Introduces Life Extension Kit for Patriot Missile Outrigger Actuators
Livonia, Michigan - Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of unique and broad-range actuation technologies, has designed a life extension kit for J16116 Outrigger Actuators used on the Patriot Missile launch and radar trailers. The kit consists of a stainless steel ball screw, improved seals and bearings to provide longer life by eliminating corrosion and leakage. These enhancements were the result of working with the US Army to analyze the wear conditions after prolonged exposure in severe environments.
Beaver's electromechanical actuators and ball screws can be found on thousands of commercial and military applications around the world, as well as mission-critical space exploration systems. Beaver also provides expert repair, overhaul and testing services for all electromechanical actuation systems and ball screws.
