Bearings are offered in four styles.

Press Release Summary:

DP series lead-free, PTFE-based, metal-polymer plain bearings include DP20 bearings, which are suited for dry applications; chemical-resistant DP30 bearings, which are suited for automotive/industrial applications; and DP31 bearings, which provide resistance to cavitation erosion, wear, and attack by aggressive lubricants. DB(TM) bearings are constructed of cast bronze with graphite-free solid lubricant inserts.

Lead-free, Cast Bronze Bearings from Glacier Garlock

Glacier Garlock Bearings (GGB) now offers its DP series of lead-free, PTFE-based metal-polymer plain bearings, which comply with the European Parliament's ELV directive on the elimination of hazardous materials in the construction of passenger cars and light trucks. The company also has introduced its maintenance-free DB(TM) cast bronze bearings for heavy-duty applications.

DP20 bearings are designed for dry applications, such as automotive door hinges, seats, dampers, steering and wipers, as well as mechanical handling, pivots, linkages, HVAC and office equipment.

DP30 bearings provide superior fatigue strength, excellent boundary lubricated wear, low friction and good chemical resistance for a variety of automotive and industrial applications.

DP31 bearings are designed for use in lubricated applications, providing exceptional resistance to cavitation erosion and attack by aggressive lubricants, as well as good boundary lubricated wear resistance, fatigue strength and low friction.

DB(TM) bearings deliver excellent performance under high loads and intermittent operation. Its structure consists of cast bronze with graphite-free solid lubricant inserts which exhibit a lower wear rate and longer service life than graphite.
