LI-ION Battery Packs Feature On-Board Charging Circuits


Custom manufactured lithium ion battery packs that provide high energy density and can include charging circuits and other electronics are being introduced by Generation Electronics Inc. of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Generation Custom Li-Ion Battery Packs can incorporate on-board circuitry to gauge charge, temperature, and remaining run time, where applicable. Providing five times the energy density of NiCad packs for a comparable size, these battery packs can be made in cylindrical, prismatic, and coin cell configurations with capacities ranging from 500 mA to 20 Amps.

Shaped to fit cavity design requirements, Generation Custom Li-Ion Battery Packs combine high power and high energy density in a lightweight package that can be supplied with flying leads, pressure contacts, and solder-, surface mount-, and quick-connect connectors. Suitable for use in a variety of portable devices, they operate from -20°C to +70°C.

Generation Custom Li-Ion Battery Packs are priced according to configuration and quantity; with 5,000 minimum units per year typical. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
