Batson Group, Inc. Expands Product Line
Greenville, SC: Batson Group, Inc. is pleased to announce their agreement with Calemard (France) to market their in-line and off-line slitting and rewinding machines in the United States and Canada. Charles Little, Batson Group Manager, made the announcement.
Established in 1955, Calemard has positioned itself as a market leader in nonwovens, textile and industrial markets, wherever quality slitting and / or rewinding are difficult to achieve.
With strong know-how in slitting technologies, Calemard has a proven reputation in crush, shear and razor slitting systems, as well as sealing and cutting technologies. This unparalleled knowledge is the guarantee of the best cutting solution - whatever the product and application.
Calemard also has proven expertise in rewinding technologies. Originally focused on narrow web slitting, the company has expanded its knowledge of spooling technology.
As an alternative to the use of pancake rolls, Calemard's spooling technology is the solution that enables 10 times more product to be rewound than on a pancake. This also offers a more stable package of narrow products. Their spooling technology is perfect for delicate product conversion.
The textile industry is the historical field of activity for Calemard. However, more recent activity includes the converting of technical textiles for the filtration market and the personal hygiene industry. Since 1989, Calemard has also worked closely with all the major tire manufacturers. This has resulted in the development and optimization of a complete stock preparation solution (wide and narrow slitting of calendered textile reinforced gum, gum strips and calendered textile bias).
Calemard has a complete testing facility in France that features cutting and winding machines and relevant testing equipment.
