New All Plastic Simplex Basket Strainer Protects System Components
This new all plastic basket strainer from Hayward protects expensive system components from damage by particulate matter in the process media. Damage causing particles are removed as the process media passes through a perforated or mesh lined basket contained inside the strainer body.
Strainer basket cleaning is quicker and easier than ever with this newly designed Simplex basket strainer from Hayward. The hand removable, spin-off cover features two angled handles for easy access to the strainer basket. The cover has external threads that never contact the process media which eliminates the time consuming, messy job of having to clean them each time the cover is removed. Venting and draining are just as easy to accomplish with the hand removable, threaded plugs...one on the cover and the other on the side of the body.
For application versatility these all plastic, Simplex basket strainers can be installed in either inline or loop piping configurations without the need for extra cost pipe, fittings, and fabrication time. This is made possible by the unique design of the strainer that incorporates three piping connections used as inlets and outlet. The unused connection is simply plugged using the included fitting. True Union piping connections make it possible to remove the strainer from the piping system without breaking down the system piping connections.
These new Simplex strainers from Hayward are available in PVC or CPVC, in sizes from ½" to 8", with socket, threaded or flanged connections and Viton® seals. A clear, see-through model made from Eastar(TM) plastic is also available.
