BASF to Showcase Its Expanded Portfolio of Colorants and Additives at SPE's Automotive TPO Conference


Company to highlight heat management pigments, light stabilizers, scratch and mar additive, and nucleator for TPO

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, October 1, 2009 -- BASF will showcase its expanded portfolio of colorants and additives for the automotive industry at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Automotive Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) Conference, Oct. 4-7, at the Best Western Sterling Inn, Sterling Heights, Michigan.

BASF will feature Lumogen®, Sicopal®, Sicotan® and Meteor® state-of-the-art pigments for interior heat management, including NIR reflective and transparent technologies; Tinuvin®, Tinuvin® XT, Uvinul® and Chimassorb® high performance light stabilizers for TPO; Irgasurf® SR 100 additive for improved scratch resistance; and Irgastab® NA 287 high performance nucleating agent designed for automotive filled and non-filled TPO and PP.

In addition, a BASF scientist, Dr. Nikolas Kaprinidis, will be giving an "Update on Developments for Scratch and Mar Additives" on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9:30 a.m.
