BASF to Demo Collision Shop Technology Tools and Host the Ringbrothers at Automechanika Chicago

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - BASF Automotive Refinish will showcase its toolbox of industry-leading paint products, color information systems, and business planning technologies at Automechanika Chicago.  Held from April 24-26 at McCormick Place, the trade show is expected to be the largest of its kind in the U.S. for automotive technicians and shop owners; focusing on high-end technical training and management.

"This is the first time Automechanika is being held in the U.S.," said Harry Dhanjal, North American Industry Relations Manager for BASF.  "We're excited to showcase what our products and services can do to help customers build and sustain a successful business."

BASF will host the Ringbrothers, Mike and Jim Ring, and their 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, "Recoil," painted in a Sand Storm color from BASF's Glasurit® 90 Line. Recoil received several awards at the 2014 SEMA show including the prestigious Best in Show by General Motors, the Goodguys GOLD Award and a Mothers Choice Award.

Mike and Jim will be available to sign autographs and answer questions about their award winning builds at the BASF booth (#1548) on Saturday April 25(th) from 11 AM to 12 PM and 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

BASF will demonstrate VisionPLUS® online during the show. This productivity-focused system enables collision repair center owners and managers to track, analyze and improve their business by identifying where a shop can develop strategies for improvement, increase performance and implement corrective action plans.

BASF will also demonstrate the latest version of its SmartTRAK® paint management software. SmartTRAK is a worldwide color database that includes a full suite of inventory, stocking and tracking tools.
