DesignArt Networks Announces DAN3000 Base Station SoC Family

Ra'anana, Israel - DesignArt Networks, the only silicon provider with actual 4G single-SoC base station deployment experience, announced its next generation DAN3000 open SoC platform. Drives 4G base station and RAN infrastructure cost models to the bare minimum.

With the new DAN3000 SoC platform, DesignArt Networks shatters current performance levels for mobile infrastructure SoCs - driving deep into 4G LTE and IMT Advanced territory and enabling the deployment of pervasive multi-gigabit mobile radio access networks (RANs).

"We've packed many differentiating signal and packet processing capabilities into the DAN3000 SoC platform, and enough performance headroom into all four processing layers of the SoC architecture," said Assaf Touboul, CTO of DesignArt Networks. "Vendors can now deliver any kind of base station product in an ultra-compact, single-box form factor."

"This architecture essentially reduces the entire mobile radio access network to its bare essence - the radio," he continues. "It will be extremely difficult for the industry to find further reductions in cost, power consumption, weight, or foot-print."
