Barco and Rubbermaid Medical Solutions Partner to Introduce the Industry's First Custom Medical Display Cart

Duluth, Ga., USA - Visualization and healthcare imaging specialist Barco has developed a new 19-inch sealed medical display purpose-built for Rubbermaid Medical Solutions' medical carts. It is the first display designed for cart-based applications to enable hospital-wide deployment at the point of patient care.
Integrating a new level of product design and patient safety features, Barco's 19-inch medical cart display has been optimized and certified for use in clinical settings that require regular cleaning and disinfecting, such as exam rooms and emergency departments. Designed with safety and cleanliness in mind, the new display is constructed with highly durable plastics and rounded edges. It is also the first medical Barco display to feature LED backlights, ensuring long lifetime and low power consumption. The display is fully integrated into Rubbermaid's cart and is entirely disinfectable.

Barco's custom-built medical display features a widescreen aspect ratio (16:9) to provide a large, flexible workspace. An innovative brightness keyboard lock-out feature maximizes battery life to permit long-term operation without the need for frequent re-charging. The sealed, splash-proof front and solid housing assure safe operation. The display also features an integrated cable management system that hides cables for clutter-free set-up and usage. It maintains an IEC60601 certification with an IP rating for sealing.
