Bar Code Generating Control for MS Access
TALtech is pleased to announce a new version of its popular Bar Code ActiveX control for MS Access, Excel and Word. This new "Limited License" version is based on TALtech's Bar Code ActiveX PLUS version but it is limited for use on up to 5 workstations.
The new Bar Code ActiveX LL (Limited License) will be most popular with small organizations that want to print high quality bar codes on labels or documents from their Windows applications such as MS Access, Excel and Word. It is perfect for users who are creating an inventory database with Microsoft Access.
The TALtech Bar Code ActiveX control provides users with an easy way to print high quality bar code for all the items in an Access database - simply add the control to a form or report and bind it to the data field of your table or query. When the form or report is run, bar codes will appear on the screen and can be printed to any printer with a windows printer driver.
The Limited License version is almost identical to the Bar Code ActiveX PLUS version except for the following three differences:
The limited license version may only be used on up to 5 workstations while the ActiveX PLUS version allows unlimited distribution.
The ActiveX PLUS can save bar codes images to disk in many graphic formats. This makes it perfect for creating active server web pages that generate bar codes, for example www.freebarcodes.com. The Limited License version can only save bar code images to a disk file as a Windows metafile.
The ActiveX PLUS is $995, the Limited License version is $395.
Features common to both versions
They support all commonly used bar code symbologies, including Code 39, UPC, EAN, Code 128, PostNET, Codabar, BookLan, HIBC and Interleaved 2 of 5. They also support the latest two-dimensional bar codes including PDF417, Aztec Code, Data Matrix and MaxiCode.
They allow complete control over all features of each individual bar code symbology including precise control over all bar code dimensions, full selection for the foreground, background and text colors, symbol rotation in 90 degree increments complete font selection for the human readable text above or below a bar code symbol.
They support data binding which allows the user to easily incorporate them into database reporting and labeling applications.
They include examples for Access, Excel, Word, FoxPro, VB, MS and Borland C++ and Delphi.
