Fitchburg, MA (March 3, 2003) - Simonds Industries Inc., has introduced a new line of bandsaw blades designed for high-production cutting applications where cut accuracy and blade life are the most critical factors. New BlockBuster® M42 Bandsaw Blades last longer with improved blade design technologies.
Constructed with a new, fatigue resistant backer, BlockBuster® M42 Bandsaw Blades are well-suited as all-purpose high quality blades that can cut through a wide variety of steel including carbon, chrome, tool, die and stainless as well as titanium and
other alloys. Finished with Simonds' proprietary heat-treating process combined with innovative new gullet geometries to provide extra beam strength for high performance, these blades require fewer changeovers in comparison to weaker blades.
BlockBuster® M42 Bandsaw Blades offer new set patterns to prolong blade life and come in a wide variety of variable pitch tooth configurations covering 1.1-1.4, 1.5-1.9, 2-3, 3-4, 4-6 and 5-8 teeth per inch (TPI). The blades are available in widths ranging from 1 1/2" to 3 1/8" and thicknesses from .050" and .062".
