Band Saw utilizes double pulse cutting technique.

Press Release Summary:

Metal cutting PCSAW700 features pulse drive motor that virtually eliminates vibrations created during longitudinal and penetration forces. This double pulse cutting technology helps maximize blade efficiency by reducing cutting resistance. With noise levels under 85 dB, machine has cutting capacity of 27.6 in. dia for round materials and 31.5 x 27.6 in. for rectangular materials.

Introducing "Double Pulse Cutting" Band Saw, PCSAW700

Achieved Higher Cutting Rates, Noise Levels Less than 85dB, and Extended Blade Life

Amada Cutting Technologies, Inc. (Los Angeles, California) has answered a challenge by introducing Amada's Most Innovative Band Sawing Design to the North American metal cutting industry. The PCSAW700 is equipped with the latest innovations in metal sawing. This Amada original revolutionary technology, DOUBLE PULSE CUTTING, is to achieve maximum blade efficiency by reducing vibration and cutting resistance. The machine has a cutting capacity up to 27.6" diameter (round) or 31.5" x 27.6" (rectangle) materials.

Vibration has always been an inherent characteristic of metal sawing. The goal of machine and blade manufactures has always been to eliminate this unwanted trait. Machine manufactures have used several damping devices while blade companies were developing varied pitch blades and special tooth designs. All had some success increasing blade life and cutting rates.

Amada teamed up with a renowned Japanese motor manufacture to develop a "special pulse" drive motor to virtually eliminate the vibrations created during the longitudinal force, and Amada's Engineering Department expanded on this to eliminate the vibrations created during the penetration force, thus DOUBLE PULSE CUTTING.

Never has this industry experienced this level of increased blade life while simultaneously increasing cutting rates. DOUBLE PULSE CUTTING is in a class of its own.
