Press Release Summary:
The BFF Series Flow Sensors are offered in thread-in and inline versions and provide a switching output that is activated when flow falls below the user-defined rate. The units use calorimetric sensing technology that measures temperature differential on each sides of the probe and are resistant to failures caused due to dirt or foreign object buildup. They come with integrated LED’s that offers visual display of flow.

New Balluff Flow Switches Warn Users of Reduction in Flow
Florence, Kentucky (Sept. 21, 2018): The newest flow switches from Balluff alert users to potential failures due to a reduction in necessary fluid flow.
The recently released BFF series of flow sensors, which are available in both thread-in and inline versions, provide a switching output that is activated when the flow falls below a user-defined rate. This makes it possible to notify users of system problems such as the failure of a pumping system, a clogged filter or leaks before they cause critical issues or system shutdowns.
The completely solid-state calorimetric sensing technology measures temperature differential on each side of the sensing probe and has no moving parts. So, unlike mechanical flow switches, they are resistant failures caused by dirt or foreign object buildup. The BFF series of flow sensors complement Balluff’s existing line of temperature sensors and are an addition to our line of process-oriented sensor product.
- Continual flow monitoring
- Calorimetric sensing principle with no moving parts
- Threaded-in and in-line versions available
- Visual display of flow with integrated LED's
