Advance Enhances Its Family of SmartMate® CFL Ballast Replacement Kits
Advance Transformer Co., Rosemont, Illinois, has announced the addition of new, innovative features to its popular line of SmartMate® CFL Electronic Ballast Replacement Kits, designed for use with lighting fixtures operating Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs). The kits' new features include a unique mounting-plate adapter and color-coded pre-stripped lead wires. Both features are specially designed to facilitate installation, regardless of the fixture's J-Box configuration or the brand of ballast being replaced.
One mounting-plate adapter is packaged in each kit, together with a supply of lead wires. In addition to being color-coded, the leads are pre-stripped to the UL-required 3/8" on the poke-in end and 5/8" on the J-Box connection end. All kit components are encased in a poly-wrapped package, with detailed installation instructions imprinted on the outside of the carton. The ballast label is visible without opening the package, providing easy access to technical and application information.
SmartMate CFL Ballast Replacement Kits models cover the most common 4-pin CFL applications with only four SKUs, helping keep stocking requirements to a minimum. The new kits including the mounting-plate adapter and pre-stripped leads will replace earlier kits offered to the market, with no change in price.
