ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Mar. 27, 2006) - NVent LLC, the innovator of the PermaLynx permanent push-to-connect copper piping system, announced today the launch of the PermaLynx Series 300 Low Lead Ball Valve, a multi-purpose shut-off valve for use in domestic hot and cold water systems and compressed air services.

The Series 300 Low Lead Ball Valve meets and exceeds the low lead requirements of NSF/ANSI 61-8/9. It features a full port, forged brass body and end pieces with push-to-connect ends for increased strength and a durable chrome-plated brass ball. Viton® "O" Ring and PTFE packing for upper-stem seal, and PTFE thrust washer provide superior sealing, low torque and operating reliability.

Low lead ball valves are available in ½" to 2" sizes. Series 300 ball valves are rated to 600 PSI for non-shock cold working pressure. The valves are derated to 200 PSI to match the PermaLynx system rating. All valves are listed by UL to NSF/ANSI 61 standard (Drinking Water System Components - Health Affects).
