Ball Valves feature zero leakage design.

Press Release Summary:

Available in ½-4 in. top entry sizes, Camseal® N-stamped, metal-seated ball valves feature pressure ratings from ASME Class 900 to 4500. Units are capable of meeting zero bubbles for 4 min at 50 psi and 1,000 psi nitrogen. Modular internals isolate critical seal surfaces from thermal effects, while Integral Gland Wrench concentrically loads stem packing without tools. Flame spray chrome carbide coating provides leak-free performance, even in high temperature drop applications.

Conval Introduces New Camseal Ball Valves....

FOR WORLD'S MOST DEMANDING APPLICATIONS

"Next generation" design features Zero Leakage

SOMERS, CT USA (8/27/07)--Conval, a leader in high-temperature, high-pressure valves for the world's most demanding applications, recently introduced the new Camseal® line of zero leakage, N-stamped, metal-seated ball valves. The new Camseal ball valve represents the next generation in ball valves featuring zero leakage of the body, seat, and stem. During development, the Camseal ball valve was subjected to extremely rigorous computer-aided analysis, laboratory and field testing, far surpassing the performance of any other ball valve on the market.

The Camseal body/bonnet joint is not subject to pipeline stresses. There is no in-line body bolting to loosen or fatigue, so the body remains leak-free. All valves are capable of meeting zero bubbles for four minutes at 50 psi and 1,000 psi nitrogen. Modular internals isolate critical seal surfaces from thermal effects. Conval's exclusive Integral Gland Wrench concentrically loads the stem packing without tools, eliminating stem leaks and extending packing life. Reliable, accurate ball alignment is achieved due to the robust engagement between the one-piece stem and the ball. Superior bearing support of the blowout-proof stem ensures proper axial alignment. The custom-engineered flame spray chrome carbide coating has superior bond strength and coating density to provide long-life, leak-free performance even in high temperature drop applications. In-line servicing can be accomplished in 30 minutes, restoring zero leakage performance in the event of process application abuse.

New Camseal ball valves are available in ½" through 4" top entry sizes, with socket weld, butt weld, and FNPT ends. Pressure ratings range from ASME Class 900 to 4500. Standard materials include carbon steel WCB, WC9 and C12A and stainless steel cast 316/316L. Standard accessories include ISO-5211 integral mounting pad and electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators. All valves are manufactured under a sophisticated Quality Management System.
