Chestertown, Md., February 21, 2003 - Dixon Valve & Coupling Company announces a major expansion in its line of actuated ball valves offered to customers. A complete range of pneumatic and electrically actuated direct-mounted brass and stainless steel ball valves is now available, in models ranging from 1/2-inch to 3 inches in size.
According to Joe Dawson, National Sales Manager, every actuated ball valve from Dixon is individually tested to assure dependable operation. "We ensure that each direct-mounted actuator allows for the most compact system possible, which eliminates the need for the extended room that other actuated valves require for adapter rods and mounting brackets," he added.
Actuated valves are used to remotely control valves operating in virtually any application. Valves that are difficult to reach - or mounted in dangerous environments - can be operated remotely, either by electric voltage or via pneumatic impulses. The addition of positioners and solenoid valves provides visual confirmation of the valve position, along with full control over the opening and closing of each valve.
