New B12 High-Flow Ball Valve Introduced by Parker Hannifin

Jacksonville, Alabama-A new bi-directional, high-flow valve featuring a "quick-on, quick-off" control feature for process and instrumentation applications has been introduced by Parker Hannifin's Instrumentation Valve Division.

The B12 Valve features spring-loaded ball seats and a blowout-resistant stem. It is pressure rated at 4000 psig (276 bar) CWP. A micro-finished ball provides positive seal.

"The B12 offers high flow at high pressure," said Craig Beckwith, marketing manager of IVD. "Its spring-loaded seat design provides excellent sealing characteristics in tough, high cycle life applications."

"The B12 Valve has a rugged design and provides positive shut-off or directional control of fluids in process, power, or instrumentation applications," Beckwith added. "It is especially suitable for use on compressed natural gas busses and filling stations."

The B12 features a stainless steel body with a two-way inline body configuration. It has a .50-inch (12.7mm) orifice-the largest currently available. Handles indicate flow direction and are available in six different colors. Buyers receive a choice of actuation: manual, pneumatic, or electric.

The B12 has an operating temperature range of -65° F to 350° F (-54° C to 177° C). The unit has positive handle stops and is panel mountable. Port Connections are FNPT, CPI(TM) single-ferrule or A-LOK® double-ferrule systems.

"The new B12 design is based on the highly successful Parker B Series of Valves which have earned a solid reputation for outstanding performance, reliability, and durability around the world," Beckwith noted. To help ensure reliability at the work site, every B12 Valve undergoes extensive testing before it leaves the factory.

The Instrumentation Valve Division designs, develops, and manufactures a wide range of valves for instrumentation applications.
