Ball Toss Demo using H2W's Single Rail Stage
H2W Technologies' single rail positioning stage (SRS) utilized in a ball toss demo, which tosses a golf ball through a spinning hoop and then catches it using the built in sequencing and indexing capabilities of AMC’s servo drives.There is no external controller or vision system used.
The SRS-EX series stage is ideal for closed loop positioning applications that require long travel distances in a compact, small footprint. It is assembled on a single piece of aluminum extrusion allowing for long travel distances without the need of machining additional components. The ironless core coil assembly has no magnetic attractive force to the stationary magnet assembly, thus resulting in zero cogging and reduces the load on and increases life of the bearing system. The moving coil reduces the moving mass of the system allowing for much higher accelerations of light payloads.
