THK Introduces Compact ES/EC Actuators Featuring Long-Term Maintenance-Free Operation

Schaumburg, IL – THK America, Inc.’s new Type ES and Type EC Actuators boast long–term maintenance-free operation and compact designs.

Combining the Caged Ball LM Guide Type SRS and a rolled ball screw equipped with a QZ Lubricator, the Type ES Actuator performs for extended periods without requiring maintenance. THK Caged Technology employs a synthetic resin cage with a patented curvature that cradles each ball and separates it from the next one. The spaces between the rolling elements retain grease and act as a lubrication system.

In addition, because the LM Guide of the Type ES acts as its base, it achieves space and cost savings. The Type ES is available in four models with widths ranging from 32 mm to 50 mm and heights from 40 mm to 52.5 mm. Strokes range from 50 mm to 600 mm (lengths are available at 50 mm intervals).

The Type EC Actuator also uses a rolled ball screw equipped with a QZ Lubricator for long–term maintenance-free operation. The compact Type EC is available in two models with widths ranging from 40 mm to 48 mm and heights from 48.5 mm to 57.5 mm. Strokes range from 50 mm to 300 mm (lengths are available at 50 mm intervals).
