Ball Rail Systems offer corrosion resistance.

Press Release Summary:

Resist CR models consist of guide rails and runner block bodies that are protected by thin hard chrome layer. Resist NR versions feature X39 steel runner block bodies and standard steel balls and raceways, which ensure 100% dynamic and static load capacity. Resist NR II units have corrosion-resistant material throughout entire runner block, including balls and running tracks, to offer maximum protection against corrosive agents.

Bosch Rexroth Corrosion Resistant Ball Rail Systems Portfolio Expanded

Company to feature its broad selection of corrosion-resistant ball rail systems at IMTS; September 8-15, 2004, at the McCormick Place Complex in Chicago, IL; Booth # D4240.

CHARLOTTE, NC-For difficult environmental conditions - particularly involving aqueous media, dilute acids and alkalis, or salt solutions - Rexroth now provides a broad selection of corrosion-resistant Ball Rail Systems.

In one version, called Resist CR, the guide rails and runner block bodies are protected by a thin hard chrome layer. Besides being corrosion resistant, these products are especially resistant to abrasion and wear while providing the full load capacities as the standard versions.

The Resist NR version offers runner block bodies made from X39 steel. The balls and the raceways, however, are made from the same steel as in the standard offering, which ensures 100% dynamic and static load capacity. This runner block type is normally combined with chrome-coated guide rails. A third type, the Resist NR II, features corrosion-resistant material throughout the entire runner block, including balls and running tracks, to offer maximum protection against corrosive agents. Resist NR II offers 65% of the load capacity of the standard runner block and rail. A rail made from X50 steel is also available under the same name.

These linear motion guides are ideal for use in clean room applications and in PCB manufacture in general, as well as in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
