New Nut Types for Rexroth Ball Screw Assemblies

Company to feature its new nut types at IMTS, September 8-15, 2004, at the McCormick Place Complex in Chicago, IL; Booth # D4240.

New Ball Nut types and Ball Screw Assemblies from Rexroth bring top performance to machine tools, even in harsh environments.

CHARLOTTE, NC - Rexroth has developed a number of new nut types for feed, positioning and transportation tasks in metalworking machines. Machine designers can now choose from a broad new selection of precision screws, zero-clearance preloaded nuts or adjustable single nuts in a wide variety of designs.

The ball screw assemblies are available with a choice of different seals to provide effective wiping action and prevent fine dusts, chips or coolants from penetrating the nuts. The new nut types and seals make Rexroth Ball Screws ideally suited for harsh environments, such as metal cutting and woodworking.

New in the product range are complete drive units with integrated ball screw assembly plus matching pillow blocks and nut housings. For long travel distances, Rexroth offers these package units with screw supports. Higher critical speeds and maximum linear velocity can thus be achieved with no major additional design effort. As an option, Rexroth supplies matching motor mounts and couplings or timing belt side drives, as well as a broad selection of motors.
