Original Press Release:
SKF® Series of Smaller Angular Contact Ball Bearings Introduced for High-Speed Spindle Applications
A new smaller-range series of SKF® high-precision angular contact ball bearings has been introduced by SKF Machine Tool Precision Technologies (Bethlehem, PA) for high-speed spindle applications.
The new SKF bearings (CX/ACX Series) are designed to provide improved dynamic and static load ratings and enhanced levels of radial and axial rigidity compared with conventional counterparts through the use of optimized internal geometry.
Ideal for high-speed metal-cutting, woodworking, milling, and countless other precision machine-tool applications, these new SKF high-precision angular contact ball bearings allow rotational speeds up to 1.8 Mndm.
The bearings are available in a variety of contact angles to satisfy the most demanding axial stiffness and load requirements.
