Ball Bearing Sets accommodate thrust in either direction.

Press Release Summary:

MRC® Series 97000 angular contact, split inner ring ball bearings sets include 97000U2 Series with 29º contact angle and 97000UP2 Series with 40º contact angle. Configuration allows thrust capacity to be shared by 2 bearings in 1 direction and by 1 bearing in reverse direction. Available in metric bore sizes of 65-150 mm, units are engineered to ABEC-1 tolerances; feature land-guided, machined bronze cages; and can handle heavy loads in vertical pumps.

Original Press Release:

MRC® Split Inner Ring Ball Bearing Sets Accommodate Thrust In Either Direction

MRC® 97000 Series angular contact ball bearing sets featuring a split inner ring accommodate thrust in either direction, provide extremely high thrust-carrying capacity, and allow for an optimum ball complement in their assembly. They can serve as ideal solutions for handling heavy loads, especially in vertical pumps, since their two bearings act in tandem to share primary thrust load.

MRC angular contact split inner ring ball bearing sets include 97000U2 Series with 29º contact angle and 97000UP2 Series with 40º contact angle. These sets include an MRC 9000 Series split inner ring bearing matched with a single MRC 7000 or 7000P Series bearing with the same contact angle.

As a result of this configuration, thrust capacity is shared by two bearings in one direction and by one bearing in the reverse direction for maximized performance. In many ways the two-bearing arrangement delivers the performance of a three-bearing set, providing a more efficient design capable of saving space and money.

These MRC split-ring bearing sets are available in metric bore sizes ranging from 65mm to 150mm (2.5 in. to 5.9 in.). They are engineered to ABEC-1 precision tolerances and feature extremely durable, land-guided machined bronze cages.

MRC further can develop made-to-order (MTO) warranted products through a dedicated MTO program established to meet customized application demands.
